The pace of change in society today is such that if we don’t plan to harness such changes we will collapse under the stress and pressure. I believe that plan is found in the Biblical concept of ‘rest’. The Old and New Testaments give us principles of rest which if carried through will enable us to more than cope with such change.
In Gen Ch1 when God spoke the universe into being He built into it a set of laws to sustain and keep it in order. Over the centuries, scientists and philosophers have discovered these laws and have begun to harness their power.
This series looks at how we in the Church can put these laws into practise in the Christian life.
Many Many people today (Christians and non-Christians alike) are struggling with a lack of Affirmation.
Read this list: Low self-esteem, rejection, attention seeking, confusion of sexual identity, hopelessness, lack of purpose, inability to hold down a job etc etc. These and other conditions find their root problem in a lack of affirmation from early childhood.
These messages will show you how to reverse this trend in your life and the lives of others through receiving the affirmation of God our Father and the Word He speaks to us.
Whose report are we going to believe today?
Do we choose to believe the report of the circumstances surrounding our lives or do we choose to believe the report of God’s Word. When Israel were about to enter the Promised Land, they had two choices. They could either choose to believe the report that the land was filled with warrior nations, Cities surrounded by impenetrable walls of stone like Jericho and the race of giants called the Anakim; Or they could choose to believe the report of God’s Word that said if they put their faith and trust in God, He would fight for them and establish them in the land.
Which report are you going to believe?
Just as God sent John the Baptist with an Elijah spirit upon him to prepare the way for the first coming of Jesus Christ; so today God is raising up a latter day Church who will also have an Elijah spirit upon them to prepare the way for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
How will this take place? That's the subject of this message.
Many Christians today have substituted the New Covenant of grace for the Old Covenant of law and are living a works based Christianity of rules and regulations. Instead of standing and living in God's righteousness they are seeking to establish their own righteousness. This inevitably brings a lifestyle of guilt and condemnation which robs the believer of the joy and peace of God.
This series seeks to unravel the confusion surrounding the subject of law and grace and points the believer to a life of freedom.
We are living in an age of global unrest and financial upheaval. This puts pressure on everybody's lifestyle and that includes Christians. But we must remember that Christians do not live under the world's economic system, we live under the Kingdom of God's economic system. Therefore if we are to survive the pressures that are coming on the earth, we have to look to God not man when it comes to our provision.
This series seeks to apply some of the principles that will help and encourage people to live under the Kingdom rule and reign of God.
